Q : How to add/delete users in RaidenFTPD ? |
|
From the SETUP menu in the GUI, choose USERS AND GROUPS. note : there are some built-in special group names , see this for more information The COMMENT box is where you enter any comments/notes you have about that user. Next, assign the user's LEVEL. Normal is probably a good choice for most users. :) If you know the user speaks a certain language, now is the time to set the language preferrence as well. Otherwise, RaidenFTPD will use the default language files. Other options to set: ALLOW FTP ACCOUNT - Checking this enables the account. DL SPEED LIMIT - Check the box if you want to cap the bandwidth available to this particular user for downloads. Then set the value in the box to the right. UL SPEED LIMIT - Check the box if you want to cap the bandwidth available to this particular user for uploads. Then set the value in the box to the right. DISABLE IP CHECKING - This option should be checked if you are certain that you do not care what IP this user logs in from. If you are security-conscious, you will probably want this box to remain unchecked , note that this will only work when you use check IP after login. MAX LOGINS - Check this box if you want to limit the number of simultaneous logins allowed for this user. If you set it to two, then the user may open two sessions at the same time. RATIO - Check this if you want to force your users to maintain a certain upload:download ratio. The ratio is in kilobytes, not files. AUTH TYPE - To set the password type such as S/KEY , force SSL and etc.. BYPASS MAX USERS LIMIT - The user can still login even if the server is full, note that this will only work when you use check IP after login. ALLOW SELFKICK - When the user uses !username to login , it is possible to kick all previous connections under the same username ALLOW FXP UPLOAD - Allowing user to upload files via FXP ALLOW FXP DOWNLOAD - Allowing user to download files via FXP EXPIRES ON - The user account's expiration date prevents the user to log in after this certain date. USE VFS SETTINGS - The user's file permissions will be governed by VFS rules after comparing with his login name against group name. USE PERSONAL SETTINGS - The user will ignore the VFS rules and use his own permissions over all files and dirs. LOGON TIME RESTRICTION - Click to configure the time that the user is allowed to login or stay on ftp server. |
